Silly me for not looking hard enough. The basic gameplay feels quite good. There's a setting labled "Input Display Icons" where you can change between keyboard and gamepad. It can get a little confusing when you have to order commands or perform Quick Time Events as you have to memorize which keyboard button corresponds to which action it is on the controller.Įdit: I take that last comment back. Even though a wired Xbox 360 controller works just fine with rumble, for some dumb reason when you play they still display the icons for the keyboard. One minor annoyance was when playing with a controller. On the PC, it never dropped below 60 fps so fighting the spider boss was somewhat easier. On the PS3, I noticed that the framerate would dropped dramatically, even to the point where I had trouble aiming the rocket launcher because everything was slowing down. One area that was noteworthy was the giant spider battle. You can crank up the resolution over the default 720p that most console games use (I played at 1080p) and I can play at a steady 60 fps over the 30 fps that most console games are limited to. The technical differences are what you would expect when comparing most console games to their PC counterparts, whether it's Dead Space, Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, etc. I got the PS3 version for free as a PlayStation Plus member and just got the Steam version from the Humble Bundle.
